A minor shakeup is occurring within the town’s staff.
Patrick Christman will become the waste-water plant manager, while Scottie Neville will become the water plant manager.
John Lockwood will become the Public Works Manager and Billy Powell will become the Utility Maintenance Manager.
Jodi Outland will be appointed Cape Charles’ new Human Resource Manager. Outland currently works with payroll and insurance.

A Human Resources Manager, really? Looks like the Town Council is looking to increase taxes to support a bloated staff. Why not use the money for some capital improvement projects. Like fix the sewage system, install sidewalks on every street in town, install cameras in the park for security? And what happened to the reverse angle parking that has been on the town agenda for the past 5 years. Elections are coming up. We need competent, fiscally responsible government. Another chance to do it right.
