Dr. Amelia Ross-Hammond, Virginia Beach City Councilwoman,and Past Chair of the Hampton Roads Transit, endorsed Jake Denton in his bid to win the Democratic nomination for Congress in VA-02.
She released the following statement: “I have spent the past few months traveling our district with Jake as he’s campaigned for Congress. Our district needs someone like Jake. Jake has lived in Virginia Beach for his entire life, he knows our Hampton Roads community in-and-out and will make a tremendous Congressman for our District.”
Jake’s campaign is backed by elected officials and retired elected officials like former Congressman Glenn Nye, Suffolk City Council Member Don Goldberg, former Virginia State Delegate Bobby Mathieson, former Virginia State Senator Sonny Stallings, and former Virginia Beach City Council Member Guy Tower.
Congressional Candidate Jake Denton had the following to say upon Dr. Ross-Hammond’s endorsement of his campaign, “It’s an honor to receive the endorsement of Councilwoman Ross-Hammond. Our campaign works day and night to earn the support of leaders and voters like, Dr. Ross-Hammond.”
