The town is looking to hire a full time Maintenance Worker/Specialist to begin immediately. This is a full-time position with benefits and Virginia State Retirement.
Your duties may include, but are not limited to, performing various maintenance activities for town buildings, grounds and equipment, including sanitation, painting, mowing and minor carpentry projects. Heavy manual labor and operation of power tools and equipment such as tractors, chippers and backhoes is required.
Previous maintenance experience and mechanical abilities preferred. Must have the ability to follow written and oral direction and be able to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed. High school diploma or GED, a valid VA Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screening, be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Hiring salary range: $12.06-$14.45 depending on experience and qualifications.
