  1. Please, everyone, Google the Bola Wrap…educate yourselves, watch the videos, read the newspaper articles (esp. the Los Angeles Times) and then explain to me WHEN AND WHERE do you suppose this device would be most useful for the Cape Charles police…on the beach?…at the campgrounds?…at any of the boat landings?…on the decks of The Shanty or The Oyster Farm?…at Food Lion?…maybe at the Blessing of the Fleet or the Fourth of July Parade?, (provided these even happen), during traffic stops? Who sold this ridiculous product and what has happened to good old fashioned, common sense policing?

  2. Cops today are tied up in the ropes of political correctness. Silly ‘Bola Wrap’ keeps the cop’s hands clean with a procedural back-up of training and written policy for lawyers to hash out when the perp breaks it’s neck from the bola wrap causing it to fall. Modern cops reflect the thoughts and values of modern young men. Today’s 20-30 year old young adults have been ruined by public school, social media and tv (political correctness). TV commercials show 89% blacks (they are only 13% of our population) and 11% dogs. Marketing knows those are two groups being worshiped today, Black Folks and Dogs.

  3. The BolaWrap has saved lives all over the US, the bodycam on youtube shows it very clearly. Great work CCPD, keep improving your policework!

    1. Maybe you should volunteer to let them train with it on you and your family since you think it is so great.

  4. Anything that happens elsewhere could also happen in Cape Charles. As my grandfather used to say, ” it is better to have something and not need it than to need it and not have it”. Also, anyone ever involved in scouting remembers, Be Prepared! So let’s stop worrying about this Bolawrap, let’s talk about more important and urgent issues.
