  1. Look, I LOVE the fact that this shop is here. Long time coming. Tourists have been wanting this, I hear it on a daily basis.
But alas, my heart sank again after reading the entire article.
It is still useless because our tourists wander around in the early hours of the morning looking for coffee they cannot find.
So, we still are in need of a coffee shop that actually opens early when needed.
They don’t like waiting til 10am for someone to open up.
But, glad to have them anywhere

    1. My heart sank to. I run a shop in town and love my morning coffee. When I read the house I was disappointed ☹️

  2. Eastern Shore Coffee Roasters.. And they don’t sell coffee…? What’s up with that….? And only open from 3pm to 8pm….?

  3. Wait until 10:00 am for coffee in Cape Charles???? Scotiagirl doesn’t do that! Ever hear of Rayfields, Northampton Inn, and the restaurant that we knew as Tim’s Place…? Meet her at 8:00 am for COFFEE

    1. Can anybody go to the hotel for coffee? Or just guests?
It makes no sense to open a coffee shop from 3pm to 8pm.
I am approached by tourists almost every day looking for coffee.

  4. Just to clarify, this is a pop-up which focuses cold nitro-brews, cold brews, sodas, as well-as Arnold Palmers (ice tea and lemonade). These are afternoon refreshers, not morning wake-ups. As Mr. Gammino noted, there are lots of places to get your morning cuppa Joe in Cape Charles. The goal here was to offer something different without competing with places already in the morning coffee business.

    1. Not exactly.

Rayfields, as people wander up and down the street looking for coffee, by the time they get to Peach Street, they don’t want to walk down that far to Rayfields. And it is a pretty good hike from Peach Street

Cape Charles‎ Coffee House opens later in the morning. When they do open, the line is so long, the wait in the long line is frustrating for our tourists.

Cape Charles Hotel has been noted duly. The tourists are getting a clear communication on if, (as non guests, they are permitted) to go in to obtain coffee.
To clarify what I am relating here, this info comes comes from the TOURISTS, not me. I am telling this because I hear it several times every morning. They are telling us (in large numbers) what they desire, so as the saying goes “ We need to supply what they demand.”

In my first comment I stated I was super happy to have them here. It is going to be a wonderful addition to our Cape Charles family.
But at times, we need to listen to our guests.
      Thank you

  5. Dunkin Donuts on 13 would satisfy a lot of coffer drinkers, hot and cold! And it’s affordable for the average Joe.

    1. Will you tell us why you feel this way?
Makes it a bit difficult to read your comment, and expect us to comply without explaination.

  6. Green coffee beans are $5-8.00 per pound. Why would anyone pay someone an extra $10.00 per pound to roast their coffee for them? Humans love to work, just to give their money away so that they are forced to go work for it again and again and again.
