Asses&Villains: Impeachment Edition
Ukraine is not in NATO. It is a highly corrupt country. It is not a “democracy.” It has banned 10 political parties. It is not a US state. It has millions of ethnic Russians. This conflict is not worth starting a nuclear war over. WaPo reports the White House knows full Ukrainian victory is impossible, but has no clue what an end goal or timeline looks like — so they’ll just keep funding the war indefinitely, with increasing risk of Putin out-of-the-box responses. Absurd and terrifying.
Producer prices for fresh and dry vegetables went up 15.7% in a month. Grains went up 10.7%. Fresh eggs went up 16.7%. Those are insane increases. Americans are getting crushed and it’s only going to get worse and this Zelenskyy guy is demanding billions upon billions for his country to of course be paid almost entirely by the US.
Looks like the Saudis called Biden’s phony bluff about Oil. Gas prices are soaring, a full blown recession rages on, the Border is still a mess and the Democratic party is running on Abortion as its main focus.
Trump was impeached over an alleged quid pro quo threat to Ukraine over weapons transfers before an election. Biden just admitted to CNN he is threatening Saudi Arabia if they don’t agree to his quid pro quo for oil transfers before an election. Don’t even need a whistleblower…Biden is also on tape threatening to withhold aid during the Obama administration… but, of course… no one cares. Biden is threatening to withhold Congressionally-appropriated military aid to coerce a foreign country to give him a political favor 1 month before an election. He admitted this on TV.
All of these pro Ukraine war Gen Z Democrats will make fine cannon fodder for the rich white elites controlling the democratic party when they reinstate the military draft, don’t you think??
The DEM PLAYBOOK: “EVERYTHING YOU THINK I SAID IS NOT WHAT I SAID, DESPITE YOUR HAVING VIDEOS THAT SEEM TO SHOW ME SAYING IT.” As in, “Umteen Billion Dollar Inflation Reduction Act was never meant to ‘reduce inflation’. It’s silly to suggest we said that it would.”
Note: Why did Nancy Pelosi have someone recording her all day on January 6th??
PELOSI ON JAN. 6: “I hope [Trump] comes. I’m gonna punch him out! This is my moment. I’ve been waiting for this—for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m gonna punch him out and I’m gonna go to jail and I’m gonna be happy.” Sounds kind of violent.
Tapper is such a hack that instead of asking Biden why he has note cards or what’s in them, he immediately hands them right back over to him with no questions asked. Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking that Tapper is a journalist, he’s a lifelong Dem activist. More importantly, Tapper didn’t broach the fentanyl crisis killing 300 Americans on average per day, nor were cashless bail laws/rising crime broached. And why do outlets from NBC to CBS to CNN continue to pretape & package these interviews with Biden instead of doing them live?
The government spent billions of dollars on vaccines, mandated them, gave the companies immunity, and worked with Big Tech to silence dissent. Now every day there is more evidence that some of the information they censored was probably true. This is turning into a total disaster. Notice how Fauci has disappeared since the true data on his poison jabs is leaking out? As of January, 59% of Democrats polled supported mandatory confinement of the unvaccinated, 48% favored fines or imprisonment for publicly questioning the vaccine, 47% wanted a government tracking program, and 29% favored removing the unvaccinated’s parental rights temporarily. The vaccine mandates for military personnel and federal employees and contractors was a purge—not an effort to improve readiness or save lives, it wasn’t even a miscalculation…It was a purge.
“Consumers know they can afford simply luxury like a bag of chips” – CEO PepsiCo. This is a hell of a comment on the US economy.
Lie Detector – Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claims real disposable income is up and gas prices are down.
In reality, real disposable income is LOWER than when Biden took office and gas prices are up 64%.
Below, they actually attacked this oil painting because they think all oil is evil. They are merely a pagan cult. They said, “What is worth more, art or life? … are you more concerned about the protection of a painting or the protection of our planet and people?” Yes, Van Goph is more important. These idiots actually used ‘Heinz’ Tomato soup. A small allusion to Warhol, using Campbell’s Tomato Soup would have been marginally interesting, but, well, these are morons.
Deep State – NEW: During questioning from Special Counsel John Durham, Brian Auten, a supervisory counter intelligence analyst with the FBI, revealed the FBI offered Christopher Steele one million dollars if he could corroborate allegations in the Dossier, but that Steele could not do so. Auten repeatedly admitted under questioning from Durham that the FBI never got corroboration of the information in the Steele Dossier but used it in the initial FISA application and in the three subsequent renewals. In other words, our law enforcement and intel agencies ran an op on a presidential candidate based on information which they knew was made up by the other presidential candidate. If the United States federal government were to pay one MILLION dollars to a British spy to upset an American presidential election, would that be a crime? If so, what crime would it be? Insurrection, treason, obstruction of justice?
- Dissent is branded evil
- Political differences are not tolerated
- Mass conformity of behaviors & beliefs
- Large scale, semi-organized violence is permitted.
- Power is exerted to prevent the rise of dissent.
- Power is concentrated in a handful of people and institutions.
- Whole classes of people are scapegoated or singled out for persecution
- Public opinion is turned against internal enemies
- Extra-legal police action against internal enemies is condoned
- Police punish inconsistently and outside the limits of the law
- Unpredictable and harsh enforcement used against enemies of state
- Language of constitution continues to be used while serving as facade for exercise of power
- Non-conformity of opinion is treated as a threat to the state.
- State police and other tools of compulsion (financial, legal) are used to enforce adherence to state orthodoxy.
The Pentagon has committed more than $16.8 billion in aid to Ukraine. It’s allocated 38 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and ammunition, more than 1,400 Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems and more than 8,500 Javelin anti-armor systems to the country, in some cases pulling them from U.S. Army supplies (which is dangerous and stupid).
So, when’s the Impeachment?
Here’s another scandal by the Biden administration that will be ignored by the media. Saudi Arabia revealed in a press release that Biden asked them to postpone their oil cuts until after the midterms.
WASHINGTON (NY Post) – The Biden administration admitted Thursday it had asked Saudi Arabia to delay the OPEC+ vote to cut oil production until the cartel’s next meeting – after the midterm elections.
“We presented Saudi Arabia with analysis to show that there was no market basis to cut production targets, and that they could easily wait for the next OPEC meeting to see how things developed,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in a statement.
The Riyadh-led group of oil producers’ next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 4, according to the OPEC website.
Kirby also alleged that other OPEC member nations “communicated to us privately that they also disagreed with the Saudi decision, but felt coerced to support Saudi’s direction,”
The White House was responding to a Wednesday night statement from the Saudi foreign ministry hitting back at Washington’s accusation that it had taken sides with Russia in Moscow’s war against Ukraine.
The ministry insisted the move by OPEC+ to reduce production by 2 million barrels per day beginning next month was made in “a purely economic context.”
Town Manager’s Latest on Sale of Water and Wastewater Utilities
The following is the latest message from Town Manager John Hozey regarding the potential sale of the Town’s water and wastewater plants. In this communication, Mr. Hozey provides more detail on the potential sale:
Back in January and February of this year, the Town reached out to all of you to offer information about a potential sale of our utilities, and to solicit everyone’s input. We covered a lot of history and context back then, over a series of five detailed messages, and two Town Hall meetings. Please click here to go to the PPEA Unsolicited Proposals – Water/Sewer Utilities Page.
When we last reached out, we noted the next step would be to use your input to inform the development of some draft sales documents that could then be brought back for public inspection. This didn’t commit us to anything, it just enabled us to develop some needed specifics. Due to other competing priorities, this process took longer than expected, but we are now ready to reengage with the community and again ask for your thoughts.
This is all very complex stuff; and so like before, we’ll try to break it down into more digestible portions. Let’s begin with a process update. We have finished negotiating a Comprehensive Agreement with Virginia American Water (VAW) that is now ready for your review. This agreement includes provisions of an Asset Purchase Agreement and a Franchise Agreement. Please note that these are formal, legal documents, that not everyone will find an easy read.
So a layperson’s explanation of some key terms is included below. This information is being offered in advance of two Town Hall meetings (scheduled for October 5th and October 8 th), which will then be followed by a formal public hearing. After the public hearing the Town Council will decide whether to approve these agreements. If approved locally, that would start a lengthy process of filing with the State Corporation Commission (SCC) to get their approval.
More information can be found on the Town’s PPEA page.
Only after an SCC approval, would a sale be finalized and close. As a very brief recap of the discussion last winter, the reason for considering this potential sale is threefold.
First, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of the systems going forward.
Second, to improve water quality.
And third, to keep local rates lower than would otherwise be the case if the Town were to keep the systems. Ancillary benefits include, paying off all Town debt and obtaining additional resources to help meet other Town capital project priorities.
A significant amount of due diligence has gone into evaluating this potential sale, to include review by consultants knowledgeable in this field, and checking references from other communities served by VAW. To date we have found no red flags or issues with the proposal. However, we still need to hear from you and provide answers to your questions.
Okay, now let’s get into the meat of the proposed agreements:
• The purchase price will be the fair market value (FMV) as determined by an average of three independent appraisals, up to a maximum of $15 million; the town has an option to withdrawal if the FMV comes in under $14 million
• Rates will be frozen at current levels until VAW’s next rate case to the SCC
• At VAW’s next rate case to the SCC, they will request Cape Charles be brought into their fully consolidated rate structure, which is anticipated to be less than our current rates
• VAW will invest $10 million in the Cape Charles utilities over the next eight years
• Efforts to improve water quality will begin within 12 months after closing, with the Town Council being able to approve the initial project priority
• All existing Town utility employees will be offered local employment with VAW, with pay and benefits at or above what is currently provided by the Town
• A process has been defined to allow for future regional public utilities (like HRSD) to connect to the system
• The Town will receive an ongoing franchise fee of $50,000 per year, with CPI adjustments • Monies previously collected in the facilities reserve account will remain with the Town
• VAW will meet on a routine basis with the town manager and town
A public hearing and special meeting have been tentatively scheduled for November 10th for the Town Council to take formal action on this matter. Comments are welcome and can be submitted in writing to the Town Clerk prior to the public hearing, or at the public hearing.
VDOT Street Sweeping Begins October 17th
VDOT will be sweeping the streets in Town beginning Monday, October 17th, and continuing through the end of the week. Members of the Public Works crew will be going door-to-door distributing notices to residents and business owners of the expected schedule and street closures. VDOT will begin on Washington Avenue and Fig Street, on Monday and continue working to the south from that point.
Please move ALL vehicles, trailers, boats, etc. off the street when notified of the schedule for your street.
Cape Charles Main Street Sign installed on Stone Road
With VDOT approval in hand, a new Cape Charles Main Street Sign has been installed on Stone Road. The signage will help people that are unaware that Cape Charles has a downtown find the local downtown area. For those that are visiting mainly to spend time in the downtown area, the signage will help to remind them of why they came to Cape Charles in the first place, and will gently prod them to visit the downtown area.
Town Responds to Latest DEQ Wastewater Violations
The Town of Cape Charles has responded to the latest Notice of Violatoin issued by DEQ for the town’s wastewater plant. The violation appears marginally minor, mainly due to issues with the effluent sample collection timelines.
The town has made arrangements with its lab courier to ensure the samples are collected after the mandatory 8-hour compliance window.
Pet of the Week: Sweet Sadie Still Needs a Forever Home!
Hi, I am Sadie. I am an 11 year old female. I am looking for a place to spend the rest of my days getting “butt scratches”, my all time favorite! I am short in stature, but plump. I am a mix of Shar Pei, and Boxer.
I have no problem voicing my needs, you just have to learn to decipher what they are. I am house trained and really prefer getting my outside breaks and coming right back in to curl up and take a nap, with lots of loving of course.
I was the only dog in the home for many years so I may not get along with other dogs. I also never was in a home with cats, so not really sure how I would do in a home with them.
I really do seem to love most people and will accept a good belly rub and treat from them. I was spayed many years ago, and am up to date on my vaccines.
If you think you may be interested in meeting me please stop by for a walk through the kennel to arrange a meet & greet OR you can email and request an application at shorespca@gmail.com.
You can also use our website to print an application out at www.shorespca.com, and you can contact the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 10am-3pm at 757-787-7385
